Buk railway station

Buk station opened on 26 June 1870 together with the Poznań–Berlin railway — one of the oldest lines in the region. The connection transformed 19th-century Buk: it eased trade and the growth of industry; the nearby water tower dates from the same period. The red-brick station building, in the Prussian railway style, stands in Dobieżyn, about 1.5 km south of the market square. Today it is served by Koleje Wielkopolskie and Polregio trains. The station is often a start and finish point for routes around the Buk region.
