Description

A canonry is a former residence of the clergy serving the parish church. The Buk building, on the corner of the market square and Poznańska Street, dates from the second half of the 18th century and – together with the bishops' palace – is one of the few brick houses on the square that survived the great town fire of 1858. With St Stanislaus' church and the presbytery it forms a group of church buildings in the centre. Listed as a monument in 1970.
