Description

This wooden cemetery church was built in 1760 on a cross-shaped plan, with a timber-frame larch structure, replacing an earlier church of St Adalbert (recorded in 1515) that was demolished in the 18th century. It was founded by Wiktor Raczyński of nearby Wojnowice. The interior keeps wall paintings with scenes from the life of St Adalbert (Wojciech) and images of the four Evangelists, a Baroque altar with a late-Gothic crucifix, a Rococo pulpit and a 16th-century stone stoup. Beside the church stands a wooden bell tower with a bell cast in 1757, and in the churchyard a Rococo Ecce Homo statue from 1762. The church was restored in 2020 under a programme for the wooden churches of the Poznań archdiocese.
