Description
The bishops of Poznań, who ruled Buk for centuries, kept their own residence in the town. The surviving Classicist brick building on Przemysław Square has been rebuilt many times (sources date its core anywhere from the 18th to the mid-19th century). With the adjacent canonry it is one of the few brick houses on the square that survived the great fire of 1858. Listed as a monument in 1970, today it is used for housing.
